Rooted in Community: Who We Are and How InCommunity Serves Georgia

As we begin a new year, it’s a good time to pause, reflect, and reconnect. At InCommunity, we want to reintroduce ourselves to the communities we serve and the neighbors we’re proud to stand alongside across Georgia.

InCommunity provides meaningful support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can live safe, healthy, and joyful lives in their own communities. That mission guides everything we do, every day.

Who We Are

InCommunity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Since our founding, we’ve supported more than 10,000 individuals and families across the state through community-based services designed around real lives and real goals.

In 2014, two purpose-driven organizations, enAble of Georgia and Georgia Community Support and Solutions (GCSS), came together with a shared vision. That partnership led to a new organization, a new name, and a stronger, more comprehensive network of support. InCommunity was born from the belief that people thrive when they are supported, included, and valued where they live.

What We Do

Our programs are built to meet people where they are and grow with them over time. We offer support across the lifespan, always focused on dignity, independence, and connection.

Adult Day Programs
Our Adult Day Programs offer meaningful activities and community engagement for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Locations include Marietta, South Atlanta, and Roswell.

Residential Options
We support individuals who want to live as independently as possible through small group homes and HOST home or life-sharing arrangements, with no more than four individuals per setting.

EmployABILITY (Supported Employment)
Our EmployABILITY program helps post-high school adults prepare for, secure, and maintain competitive employment in their communities through individualized supported employment services.

Community Living Support (CLS)
CLS offers tailored assistance for individuals living in family homes, as well as one-on-one coaching focused on building independent life skills.

Family Care Programs
We provide both Maintenance and Emergency Respite services, offering short-term relief and support for families when they need it most. Emergency Respite services are available with referral and approval through the Georgia DBHDD region.

Family Support Funding
This program helps families access funding for services and supports such as summer camps, therapies, recreational activities, and essential supplies. Eligibility includes individuals age 3 and older with a diagnosed developmental disability in select Georgia counties.

Behavior Support
Our Behavior Support services work closely with individuals and families to set goals and develop strategies that support positive outcomes.

Crisis Support
InCommunity operates two crisis homes and provides intensive, short-term in-home support for individuals with developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder facing severe behavioral challenges.
