Advocate and Support Increased NOW/COMP Waivers and DSP Wages

This morning at 10 AM the Senate Appropriations Human Development Subcommittee met, where they heard a budget presentation from the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). We are excited to report that the House Appropriations Human Resources Subcommittee recommended increased funding for 325 NOW/COMP waiver slots (vs. the original recommendation of 100), as well as a 1% developmental disability provider rate increase. Now is the time to make sure those funds at least stay in the Senate version but ideally increase in the Senate.
