Vaccine Advocacy - Your voice is being heard!

Your voice is being heard!

Since the beginning of the vaccine rollout plan, InCommunity felt it was important to advocate for a higher priority for those with IDD to receive COVID-19 vaccinations (seen in previous blog post). We asked our community to make calls and let your story be known that those with IDD who are a vulnerable population deserve this access to a vaccine. Thanks to your voices being heard, we are seeing progress!

"Preschool and K-12 school employees, adults with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers and parents of children with complex medical conditions will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in Georgia starting March 8.”
